Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Maintenance/Facilities tech to support Core Tip Department operations in our Reno, NV facility. You will coordinate activities with the Production Supervisor, manage spare parts, assist with new equipment installs, and troubleshoot automation equipment to meet production goals.

The role requires reading drawings, understanding geometric tolerances, and performing preventive maintenance with a focus on safety and 5S.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate Core Tip Department operations under supervision.
• Manage spare parts inventory and cycle counts.

• Monitor safety, cleanliness, and 5S in the area.
• Escalate shortages or technical issues and track resolutions.
• Perform shift pass downs and summarize performance.

Job description

• Support and coordinate various aspects of Core Tip Department and Facilities operations under the guidance of the Production Supervisor or Department Manager
• Manage spare parts inventory
• Assist with new equipment installation
• Troubleshoot Core Tip production equipment to ensure production objectives are met
• Accomplish daily job duties within the responsible area based on production needs
• Monitor employee behavior, working conditions, and equipment safety, escalating when necessary
• Ensure inventory accuracy through accurate inventory issuance, movements, and cycle count compliance
• Execute shift pass down, summarizing performance to plan and support needs
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting duties within Core Tip manufacturing areas
• Determine departmental needs with cross-functional team members through problem statements, impact assessment, and resolution requirements
• Escalate material shortages, technical issues, and process-related issues and follow up for resolution
• Maintain area cleanliness, organization, and 5S
• Facilitate equitable treatment of all employees within the department
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and with others
• Ability to coordinate between other production areas
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and procedures, including geometric tolerances
• Ability to work with other people in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to use software applications
• Good eye/hand coordination and motor skills
• Knowledge and experience to complete repairs on complex automation equipment
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and negligible force frequently or constantly
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years in manufacturing equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, installation, and facilities
• 3-5 years in a leadership position
