Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on hands-on maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and property systems to ensure exceptional hospitality.

You will conduct preventative maintenance, service HVAC and electrical components, and respond promptly to work orders. Our benefits package includes health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a hotel maintenance position preferred.
• 1 year of college or trade school in mechanical, electrical, or technical disciplines is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms.
• Performs preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
• Paints, replaces electrical accessories, maintains HVAC.
• Checks fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintains spare parts and light bulbs.
• Responds to maintenance orders promptly and fulfills work orders.
• Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Education and Experience

• Minimum of three (2) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
• Preferred but not necessary, one (1) year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Excellent time management skills

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
