Job summary

National Airlines in Orlando is seeking a Maintenance Planning Manager to lead planning and forecasting for aircraft maintenance within the Maintenance department. The role reports to the Director of Maintenance and focuses on coordinating maintenance with Line and Heavy Maintenance to ensure timely execution.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of scheduling maintenance experience, strong FAA regulation knowledge, and the ability to supervise planning staff while ensuring compliance with SMS

Qualifications

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in a position responsible for scheduling maintenance.
  • Solid background and in-depth knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to maintenance programs and procedures, aircraft maintenance systems and aircraft routing.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in supervisory capacity maintaining or scheduling maintenance on the same category and class of aircraft as the Company operates.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations of 49 CFR Parts 25, 43, 65, 91, 121.
  • Keep a valid passport.
  • Airframe and Powerplant License Preferred.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Authorization to work in the US is required.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS), as required.
  • Completes Initial Level 1 SMS Training and maintain currency as outlined in the SMS Manual, Chapter 4.
  • Supervises and trains all Line Planning personnel.
  • Performs personnel evaluations.
  • Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for planning/programs department.
  • Forecasts and plans aircraft maintenance requirements.
  • Coordinates maintenance requirements with Line Maintenance, Heavy Maintenance, and Materials to ensure completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Responsible for Line Planning Department processes. Must identify changes to enhance departmental process quality and submit Revision Requests for policy/procedure changes.
  • Reviews MRB/MPD when new revisions are issued.
  • Ensures Line Maintenance Program requirements are monitored/forecast, scheduled, and coordinated to ensure timely accomplishment by Line Maintenance.
  • Prepares forecasts of essential Line Maintenance activities.
  • Liaisons with Operations, Maintenance Control, Inspection, Materials, Technical Services, and Maintenance Departments for Line Planning items.
  • Works closely with Managers of Maintenance Control, Materials, and Line Managers for requirements.
  • Oversees the creation of forecasts for material and logistics for all Line Maintenance with material planning.
  • Provides data and reports as required by higher management to monitor the performances of various maintenance and engineering environments.
  • Works closely with the Quality Control department to understand the requirements of Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
  • Assists in the revision to all Company manuals pertaining to aircraft.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.

Job Title: Maintenance Planning Manager

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, copy machine/printer.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work

Work Environment:
