Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s Gypsum Division seeks a Maintenance Planner to support our Industrial Plasters operation at the Blue Rapids, KS facility. You will plan and coordinate preventive and reactive maintenance and ensure work orders are properly scoped, estimated and resourced.

The role requires CMMS proficiency, experience with MP2, and strong collaboration with production teams and maintenance staff. On-call hours may be required, and you will help drive safety and continuous improvement across the

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a planner within a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment.
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project)
• Ability to work on-call hours as required
• Experience in coordinating contractors and maintenance activities could be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan maintenance work by ensuring scope, estimates, resources, and readiness before starting.
• Receive, plan, estimate and coordinate maintenance work orders.
• Collaborate with Production Teams, Plant Engineers, Maintenance Supervisor and Parts Coordinator on routes and maintenance tasks.
• Provide daily and weekly maintenance schedules.
• Maintain an active list of opportunity maintenance items for break-in work.
• Use CMMS to develop and maintain maintenance schedules, asset data, and BOMs.
• Oversee asset maintenance KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain essential maintenance records and files.

Georgia-Pacific’s Gypsum Division is seeking qualified professionals for their Maintenance Planner opportunity to support our Industrial Plasters manufacturing operation at our facility located in Blue Rapids, KS .

What You Will Do

• Ensure maintenance work is planned in a proactive method by ensuring all activities are appropriately scoped, estimated, resourced, and in ready state prior to start of work
• Support the execution of maintenance work by receiving, planning, estimating and coordinating maintenance work orders
• Collaborate with Production Teams, Plant Engineers, Maintenance Supervisor and Parts Coordinator to review daily routes, Preventative Maintenance tasks, Predictive Maintenance tasks, etc.
• Daily and weekly maintenance schedules available and posted
• Provides daily work order and task performer hourly activities
• Maintain an active running list of opportunity maintenance items for break-in work
• Effectively use the CMMS to develop and maintain the maintenance schedule, manage equipment data, update Bill of Materials (BOM) for assets, and develop standard maintenance procedures (SMP)
• Oversee / Manage Asset Maintenance Work Process KPIs
• Identifies/recommends opportunities for improvements
• Maintains essential maintenance records and files
• Scope work and assess the requirements for routine, planned down day, and annual outage activities
• Work with the Storeroom to maintain equipment bill of materials, remove obsolete/inaccurate parts and populate incomplete bills of material.
• Engage in the plant’s safety culture, environmental stewardship and be a leader in risk management

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Previous experience working as a planner within a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project)
• Ability to work on-call hours as required
