Purpose Statement

The Maintenance Planner schedules preventive maintenance and work orders/requests for the facility using CMMS (SAP). This individual collaborates with Maintenance Leads and the Production Manager to plan work against a forecasted budget and location goals.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
  • Manage and maintain the site CMMS (SAP).
  • Schedule preventive maintenance and issue work orders.
  • Coordinate resources for preventive, predictive, and reactive work, including external vendors.
  • Optimize PM effectiveness by improving work details, frequency, and parts.
  • Process PM procedures, enter information into SAP, and generate weekly work orders.
  • Integrate new equipment into the system, including serial numbers, warranty info, and safety procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and safety meetings.
  • Assist with procurement records and coordinate parts purchasing.
  • Plan work within the forecasted budget.
  • Collaborate with departments to maintain BRC compliance.
  • Manage parts receiving, cycle counts, and build BOMs for SAP.
  • Attend production planning and safety meetings.
  • Maintain maintenance documentation for audits.
  • Perform occasional parts delivery and propose improvement ideas.
  • Provide coverage in other departments as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2 years of planner/parts coordinator experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow safety, GMP, and food safety guidelines.
  • Proficient in computer skills, Excel, and SAP; experience with CMMS systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge and planning skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work various shifts.
  • Self-motivated with sound judgment and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Moderate physical activity, lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Sitting, walking, standing, and working near moving parts.
  • Vision requirements and PPE usage as needed.
