Continental Aerospace Technologies™ in Mobile, Alabama, is seeking a Maintenance Planner responsible for developing and executing maintenance and project plans while ensuring effective use of resources. You'll work closely with various teams to address and solve complex issues, managing schedules and coordinating detailed task libraries.
Qualifications include a degree in a technical field and several years of experience in maintenance or project planning. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
The Maintenance Planner develops, manages, communicates and executes maintenance/project plans and master schedules to effectively utilize plant resources (material, labor and capacity). Works closely with Operations and other internal/external customers to problem solve, resolve issues and ensure that detailed maintenance activity schedules are met. Develops detailed plans for extensive equipment repairs and overhauls; maintains oversight of the job plan/task library; and provides high level resource and activity leveling. The Maintenance Planner oversees and issues detailed shutdown schedules, informational and effectiveness reports, and job plan tasks for maintenance, project engineering, and partner organizations. Develops and identifies continuous improvement opportunities and leads cross-functional projects in support of plant objectives and goals with an emphasis on lean methodology and consistent with lean principles. Develops and monitors area shutdown planning as applicable and addresses capacity issues with both internal and external customers. Works closely with all site functions to develop procedures and work practices. No supervisory duties.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to work and transverse safety sensitive manufacturing, assembly and/or aviation services work areas. Ability to lift 10 pounds repeatedly and lift 50 pounds. Ability to bending, reaching, and kneeling repeatedly. Ability to work in an environment with intermittent high levels of noise.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute, but not limited to slope, intercept, rate, ratio, discounts, and percentages and to create/interpret bar graphs.

Understanding of the basic Windows environment and willingness to use other software as required. Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite, Project (preferred).
