Job summary

PaperTech is seeking a Maintenance Planner in Findlay, OH to boost productivity by planning parts, labor hours, and equipment access. Responsibilities include creating PM tasks, keeping BOMs current, and minimizing downtime while coordinating with suppliers.

You'll track parts usage and tooling costs, use Plex ERP for PM scheduling plant-wide, and maintain spare parts inventory to support maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Create new and manage existing preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure critical equipment BOM is up to date and necessary items are on hand.
  • Minimize interference of maintenance with operations and production activities.
  • Manage spare parts inventory by cataloging items and creating proper bin locations.
  • Order Parts for the maintenance department.
  • Follow up with vendors on the ETA of ordered parts.
  • Go out of the plant to pick up parts/supplies.
  • Order consumables for various areas of the plant.
  • Track tooling cost.
  • Track parts usage.
  • Use Plex ERP to set up and schedule PMs for all departments and the building.
  • Work with vendors and contractors for various tasks (Lawn Care, Snow removal, Janitorial services etc.).
  • Set up and maintain an inventory for spare parts in the Maintenance department.
  • Help set up and maintain a W.O. system for the maintenance department.
  • Receive parts and inbound shipments and distribute them through the plant.
  • Assist accounting in setting up new vendors.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

About The Role

The Maintenance Planner’s goal is to improve workforce productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays. This role will do this by planning, parts and materials, and equipment access. The Maintenance Planner will know the tasks well enough to describe what needs to be done and estimate the required number of labor hours. Some other specific goals for maintenance planners include the following.

  • Create new and manage existing preventive maintenance tasks
  • Ensure critical equipment bill of materials is up to date and necessary items are on hand
  • Ensuring maintenance activities interfere as minimally as possible with operations and production activities
  • Manage spare parts inventory by cataloging items and creating proper bin locations

Required Skills/Abilities

Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required. BS/BA degree in a related field from an accredited college/university preferred.
  • 5 plus years’ experience in maintenance in a manufacturing facility required.
  • Scheduling, planning, or similar inventory and PM program required.
  • Experience operating Plex system preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge is required with Electrical and PLC knowledge preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
