Job summary

McDonald’s is seeking a Maintenance Person to support restaurant cleanliness and equipment care at a franchisee-owned location. The role includes assisting management and performing daily upkeep tasks to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Compensation starts at $13 per hour, with an additional $2 per hour premium for hours between 9pm and 8am. Shifts may include early morning or late evening hours, as shown in sample schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in building cleanliness and upkeep is preferred.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and follow safety procedures.
• Good teamwork and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Filter oil fryers daily.
• Maintain outside grounds and clean equipment, windows, stock rooms and restrooms.
• Unload delivery truck twice a week.
• Take out and empty trash compactor.
• Change light bulbs.
• Clean HVAC/Exhaust units and roof debris.

Job description

*Starting rate for this position is $13/hr - however our current incentive allows for any employee that works between the hours of 9pm and 8am to be paid an additional $2/hr premium pay when clocked in

during those hours*

Examples

Employee works a 5pm-12am shift

• -From 5pm-9pm they are paid their standard rate of $13/hr-From 9pm-12am they are paid their standard rate PLUS the $2/hr premium, totaling $15 per hour during that time frame

Employee works a 5am-1pm shift

• -From 5am to 8am they are paid $15/hr (their standard rate, plus the $2 premium pay)-From 8am-1pm they are paid their $13/hr standard rate

Requirements

The Maintenance Person assists management in achieving and maintaining outstanding interior and exterior restaurant cleanliness and maintaining restaurant equipment. As a member of the Maintenance Team, your restaurant will support you with the tools and training needed to succeed.

The Maintenance Person’s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Filtering oil fryers daily
• Maintaining outside grounds
• Clean equipment, inside and outside windows, stock rooms and restrooms
• Unload delivery truck 2 times a week
• Take out and empty trash compactor
• Change light bulbs
• Clean HVAC/Exhaust units and roof of debris
