Job summary

KING AND GEORGE LLC is seeking a painter at Fort Gordon, GA to apply paints and coatings to interior surfaces. The role requires preparing surfaces, selecting appropriate finishes, and maintaining a clean work area within a military base maintenance environment.

Responsibilities include drywall repairs, assisting the maintenance team, and handling other duties as needed. OSHA training is preferred, with CMMS experience considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS software is highly desired.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Broad knowledge of facility operations and maintenance.
• OSHA-10, OSHA-30, or Haz Work desired.

Responsibilities

• Apply paints and coatings to walls, woodwork, and fixtures to improve interior appearance.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old finish or filling holes; apply paint with spray gun or brush.
• May mix colors, oils, white lead, and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistency.
• Maintenance painter training or apprenticeship experience is preferred.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of work areas, including the workshop.
• Repair drywall as needed.
• Assist maintenance team with other duties as qualified.
• Other duties as assigned.
