Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Operator to oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery in a manufacturing setting. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect equipment, and coordinate with managers to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to work independently or with a team, and a focus on accuracy and safety in a fast-paced environment. Prolonged standing and physical tasks are involved.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or vocational equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
  • Cleans machines and parts, removing/installing components as needed.
  • Oils and lubricates moving parts for optimal performance.
  • Records damaged, worn, or broken parts and reports findings.
  • Orders and installs replacement parts.
  • Identifies causes of unexpected machine breakdowns and fixes.
  • Repairs machines quickly and efficiently.
  • Prepares reports documenting work performed.
  • Cleans, inventories, stocks, and maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance.
  • Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer on new products and modifications.
  • Implements tests and makes adjustments based on results.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Our team currently has an opening for a Maintenance Operator The Maintenance Operator will oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery.

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
  • Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
  • Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
  • Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
  • Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
  • Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
  • Repairs machines quickly and efficiently.
  • Prepares reports documenting work performed.
  • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
  • Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
  • Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regardingtest results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

YOUR PROFILE Education and Experience
  • Some vocational or equivalent experience preferred At least 10 years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requiements
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
  • Must be able to visually inspect machines.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
