Job summary

MWRA seeks a Maintenance & Operations Specialist to inspect, overhaul, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems across facilities. You will follow manuals, schematics, and safety protocols while supporting process control tasks.

Responsibilities include preventive/corrective maintenance, equipment installation, and coordination with other trades. A valid driver’s license and progress toward wastewater licenses are required, with growth into higher salary grades after

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, mathematical and oral communication skills are required.
• High school diploma or GED, or completion of formal mechanic training with related experience and Productivity Improvement Program training.
• Equivalent education or experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, inspect, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems per manuals and schematics.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electromechanical equipment.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment using control panels and PLC units; document results in MAXIMO.
