## MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN (DCAMM)Apply: William E Powers Office Building: Full time: Posted Today: End Date: October 11, 2026 (9 days left to apply): JR103822# **Department**Department of Administration# **Division**Building/Grounds Maintenance# **Salary**$26.94 - $28.52# **Job Profile**JC-02292201-26 - Maintenance Operations Technician (DCAMM) (Council 94 Local 2448 DOA, DOC, Public Safety, DOR)# **Scheduled Work Days & Work Hours****Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.** **Position is within the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance.** **Standard 40.0 hours.** # **Job Requisition Number**JR103822 MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN (DCAMM) (Open)# **Pay Grade**C00321 G# **Classification**Maintenance Operations Technician (DCAMM)# **Class Definition****GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES**: Within the Division of Capital Asset Management & Maintenance (DCAMM), to perform a full range of maintenance and moderately skilled trade tasks in areas such as carpentry, painting/masonry, minor electrical, plumbing, heating, masonry, road maintenance, landscaping, automotive/truck repairs, etc. at the Department of Administration facilities, grounds, and properties; and to do related work as required.**SUPERVISION RECEIVED:** Receives general directions and instructions from a superior with latitude for the exercise of independent judgment; work is reviewed on completion.**SUPERVISION EXERCISED**: May supervise staff and/or other workers.**ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:**Within the Division of Capital Asset Management & Maintenance (DCAMM), to perform a full range of maintenance and moderately skilled trade tasks in areas such as carpentry, painting/masonry, minor electrical, plumbing, heating, masonry, road maintenance, landscaping, automotive/truck repairs, etc. at the Department of Administration facilities, grounds, and properties.To perform general maintenance tasks at facilities and properties owned by or under the control of the Department of Administration, including but not limited to mowing lawns, raking, picking up trash, moving furniture, brush cutting, planting shrubs, transplanting, cutting, and pruning.To maintain power-driven machinery such as washers, extractors, refrigeration units, air compressors, pumps, and other necessary equipment in good condition.To operate and make repairs of light equipment and vehicles such as automobile, trucks, tractors, mowing machinery, chainsaws, and related equipment, as assigned.To maintain heating, steam, water, electric, signal, refrigeration, and gas systems.To perform tasks requiring the operation of welding and cutting apparatus, and to perform tasks involving maintenance of power plant and sewage plant machinery.At frequent intervals to inspect buildings, structures, and utilities, noting their condition and necessity for repair and to report those findings to supervisors.To perform snow removal, to include shoveling, plowing, and salt sanding before, during and after weather events.To respond to emergency situations on and off shift as needed.To perform other related duties as required.**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT:****KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CAPACITIES**: A working knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools, equipment, and processes involved in trades related to general building and grounds maintenance; a working knowledge of the operation of mechanical equipment; a working knowledge of the use of common tools and materials; the ability to make varied repairs without supervision; the ability to supervise a small group of workers or volunteers; the ability to work from pencil sketches and diagrams; and related capacities and abilities. Must have a level of computer literacy, the ability to communicate via email, and to receive and close work orders through a work order software system; and related capacities and abilities.**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:****Education:** A minimum of 2 years of high school; and**Experience:** Employment as a journeyman tradesman.
