Job summary

associacareers in Hawaii is seeking a reliable maintenance technician to handle exterior carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs, and minor roofing duties to keep communities well maintained.

You will perform preventive maintenance, service fixtures, and climb ladders to access high areas. You will also operate basic tools, report expenses, and coordinate with supervisors while ensuring safety and quality in all projects.

Qualifications

• Requirements include basic tools and ability to access 1–2 story ladders (24–28 ft).
• Must operate a company vehicle and mobile/email for day-to-day operations and reports.
• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Experience in general maintenance and construction tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently.
• Carry out exterior maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Clean and repair fixtures, lights, doors, windows, and gutters.
• Operate and perform repairs on systems and equipment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

will take care of maintenance duties involving mostly EXTERIOR Carpentry, Painting, plumbing repairs, Electrical repairs and minor Roofing repairs in addition to other exterior responsibilities to guarantee that the communities we manage are properly and safely maintained.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
• Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must have own basic tools (Power drill, power saw, screwdrivers, level, hammer etc.)
• Must be able to get on ladders (1-2 stories) – 24-28ft
• Must be able to operate smartphone & email (Day-to-Day operations, basic communication/monthly expense reports)
• Operate & maintain company issued vehicle (routine PM’s, oil changes etc.)

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
• Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.
• Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
