Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform essential duties in cleaning tooling and supporting building maintenance.

The role requires basic machine operation knowledge and the ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings. Responsibilities include identifying equipment failures, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with new equipment installations and validations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Performs necessary duties to clean tooling and support building maintenance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Using a variety of methods, cleans tools to include molds and dies.
• Identify and correct any facility and equipment related failure.
• Perform necessary preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Be involved with instillation and training on new equipment.
• Perform equipment moves as required.
• Perform/Support validation requirements on equipment when needed (IQ, OQ, IOQ, PQ).
• Be able to comprehend electrical wiring diagrams, pneumatic drawings, mechanical drawings, and other facilities technical information.
• Support vendors as needed.
• Support facility LEAN initiatives as to how it relates to the maintenance department.
• Perform all duties under the direction of the Plant Maintenance Supervisor or designate.
• Participate in training to become more proficient in facility and equipment related programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED Required

Work Experience

• 1 year Manufacturing Experience

Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Basic understanding of machine operability and mechanical assemblies.
• Available for overtime, self-starter, a team player and should be able to work independently.

Travel Requirements

Physical Requirements

Heavy-Exerting up to 100lbs/45kg of force occasionally and/or up to 50lb/22kg of force frequently, and/or up to 20lbs/9kg of force constantly to move objects.

This shift is Monday - Friday 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
