Job summary

Ace Hardware is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our distribution centers across the United States. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment, repair machinery, and help ensure uptime of critical processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience with maintenance and electrical duties preferred.
• General knowledge of conveyors systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to use CMMS and PM software.
• Maintenance experience in manufacturing/distribution environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance or repair to ensure machines run smoothly and buildings operate efficiently.
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions using manuals and blueprints.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components and piping as needed.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids, and replace filters as part of maintenance checks.
• Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
