Maintenance Mechanic - Sign On Bonus (CPP Syracuse) (Chittenango, NY)

⚡Join Our Growing Team as a Maintenance Mechanic at Consolidated Precision Products & Superior Metals Manufacturing!⚡

$1,000 Sign-On-Bonus + 5% Quarterly Bonus

What you'll be doing:

• Responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies to support all maintenance functions.
• Responsible for basic maintenance support for startup operations such as lights, dust collectors, air filtration systems, etc.
• Monitor machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace design, assemble and install electronic control systems for production machinery and associated automated equipment’s gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair machine level control systems, which utilize programmable logic controllers.
• Perform preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Communicate with operators pre- and post-repair.
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
• Follow lock-out/tag out procedures.
• Responsible for adherence to all safety policies, practices and procedures.

Requirements:

• Education: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Experienced forklift drivers preferred.
• Language skills: Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents. Ability to speak effectively and interact with team members, engineers, and leadership.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to use basic gauges and measuring devices.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, and diagram form.
• Reliability: Ability to be reliable, work overtime as needed, and be committed to working at our Chittenango, NY facility.

Working Conditions:

• Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
• The physical effort applied includes lifting, pulling, reaching, manipulating, carrying, pushing, or shoveling.
• Manufacturing requires repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms.

Other Information:
