Job summary

United Future is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support plant operations. This hourly role reports to the Maintenance Leader and focuses on maintaining mechanical devices, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and electrical components within the facility.

You will address equipment issues, perform preventive/predictive maintenance, and strive to improve safety, quality, and overall plant efficiency. The job requires adherence to safety policies and the ability to read blueprints and diagrams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certs are a plus.
• Two to three years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is essential.
• Strong safety, quality and process improvement mindset required.

Responsibilities

• Address process and equipment issues, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and improve safety, quality, and plant efficiency.
• Follow safety and housekeeping programs to maintain a safe work environment.
• Use machines and tools for precision alignment, predictive maintenance, welding, and repairs.
• Plan and execute lubrication and maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Assist with development and testing projects, manage data and records.
• Follow lock-out tag-out procedures and repair only de-energized equipment.
• Perform motor replacement, wiring repairs, and other maintenance tasks as needed.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to guide assembly and repair.
• Travel as needed for training and other duties.
• Maintain regular attendance and perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
