Job summary

The Walt Disney Company in Anaheim, CA is seeking an experienced Outside Machinist/Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy, industrial machinery on Disneyland Resort attractions and ride vehicles.

Shifts are night-based; candidates must be available to work Sundays through Saturdays, any shift, including holidays, with days off on variable schedule. Requires 18+ and 2+ years in industrial maintenance.

Qualifications

• You must be at least 18 years of age
• 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial production facility
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and basic tools
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Familiarity with alignment of pumps and shafts
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Familiarity with the use of PCs
• Ability to use fall protection, boatswain’s chair, power scaffold, and positioning equipment
• Experience using standard shop equipment such as a drill press, hydraulic press, grinders, sanders, band saws
• Experience with hoists, lifting and jacking devices, powered carts (Mules), man lifts and lift trucks
• Ability to safely climb ladders, stairs, and structures, and work at heights up to 200 feet at Disney California Adventure Park

Responsibilities :

The Maintenance and Facilities division at Disneyland® Resort is looking for individuals who have experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy, industrial machinery.

"Outside Machinists" (maintenance mechanics) work on the Disneyland® Resort attractions and ride vehicles. This position performs functional checks, troubleshooting, overhauling, maintenance, repair, and alteration of systems and equipment, and conducts quality checks of completed work of equipment.

Basic Qualifications :

• You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
• 2+ years of experience directly related as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial production facility

Schedule Availability :

• Shifts are typically at night, and individuals must have availability to work Sunday through Saturday, any shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) including holidays, and must be open to any days off

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical Abilities :

• Experience with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and basic tools required of a machinist
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Familiarity with alignment of pumps and shafts
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Familiarity with the use of PCs
• Ability to use fall protection, boatswain’s chair, power scaffold, and positioning equipment
• Experience using standard shop equipment such as a drill press, hydraulic press, grinders, sanders, band saws
• Experience with hoists, lifting and jacking devices, powered carts (Mules), man lifts and lift trucks
• Ability to safely climb ladders, stairs, and structures, and for those specified to Disney California Adventure Park, are you able to work at heights up to 200 feet above the ground

Additional Information :

The pay rate for this role in California is $41.63 to $50.68 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
