Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; additional industrial maintenance training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years as heavy industrial millwright/maintenance technician.
• Minimum 5 years welding/fabricating experience (SMAW, MIG, TIG).
• Certifications include aerial lift, confined spaces, crane, fall protection, forklift, hot work, lock-out/tag-out, pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Exercise and promote safety.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems.
• Perform fabrication, welding, torch cutting, light carpentry and other maintenance.
• PM per schedule.
• Install, maintain, repair or rebuild machine tools and equipment under minimal supervision.

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanic II job in Canton, GA for one of our clients.

Salary:

$34.20hr for 1st Shift

$36.20/hr for weekday nights$36.70/hr for weekend nights

$36.70/hr for weekend nights

Bonus:

$1,000 Signing bonus paid upon completion of 90 days. (Before Tax)

Essential Job Functions for the Maintenance Mechanic II Position in Canton, GA:

A Day In The Life of a Maintenance Mechanic II

• Exercise and promote safety
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems
• Perform fabrication, welding, torch cutting, light carpentry duties, and other maintenance functions as required
• Perform PM per schedule
• Install, maintain, repair, or rebuild complicated machine tools and special purpose machines and plant equipment under minimal supervision
• Disassemble problem equipment and determine the extent of repairs necessary; repair, refit, or replace worn or defective parts
• Perform all required maintenance of heavy machinery, as well as building maintenance
• Possess a good knowledge of hydraulic circuits, and pneumatic circuits, as well as the ability to read and comprehend mechanical blueprints and schematics
• Weld and fabricate
• Other duties as assigned

• Minimum Experience: At least 5 years experience as a heavy industrial millwright and/or maintenance mechanical technician; at least 5 years experience as a welding/fabricating technician skilled in SMAW, MIG, and TIG
• Certifications Required: Aerial lift certification; Confined spaces certification; Crane certification; Fall protection certification; Forklift certification; Hot workers certification; Lock-out/Tag-out certification; Pallet jack certification (certifications completed during new hire )
