Job summary

Roseburg Forest Products in Scotland is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our operations team. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy industrial equipment at our facility.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, plus technical training or five years of maintenance experience, and be capable of reading blueprints, welding (MIG/TIG/ARC), and using CMMS for record keeping. Safety and teamwork are essential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Stable employment history with a minimum of five years of experience in Industrial Maintenance work OR equivalent education to include vocational/technical school certificate
• Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, on-call and rotating shifts and holidays
• Experience with reading blueprints and precision measurements
• Troubleshooting experience
• Experience using a computer for record keeping and documentation
• Able to work in extreme heat/cold, navigate catwalks and ladders physical ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping and bending
• Ability to communicate effectively and constructively
• Comprehension of complex work instructions and documentation
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts in an industrial environment
• Basic trade skills in industrial equipment repair and execution of routine preventative maintenance of heavy industrial equipment
• Knowledge of Mig, Tig, and Arc welding
• A personal and total commitment to observe all safety regulations
• Knowledge of bearing installment, coupling, belts, sprockets and chain drive installations
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Basic knowledge of metal fabrication
• Basic knowledge of cylinder repair
• Working knowledge of basic industrial electricity issues
• Team oriented
• Willing and able to learn new jobs

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational or technical school certificate in related area
• Past employment experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with CMMS
• Knowledge of fire protection systems
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools and precision measuring and test instruments
• Experienced in pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems
• Excellent skills in root cause analysis
• Skilled in all aspects of mechanical maintenance
