Job summary

Celgard seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to join the Charlotte, NC-based Maintenance team. The role operates on a 2-2-3 day shift, 7am–7pm, with possible off-shift work as needed. Reports to Maintenance Supervisor, no direct reports.

The position requires mechanical maintenance experience, training, and the ability to troubleshoot drive and pneumatic systems. Travel up to 10% for training is possible.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in industrial environment performing mechanical maintenance; 2-3 years preferred.
• Formal industrial maintenance training required.
• Mechanical troubleshooting experience required.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel) and basic computer use.
• Knowledge of mechanical drive systems (brakes, clutches, belts, gears, bearings) and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs and troubleshooting of production equipment.
• Follow SOPs for equipment repair and extrusion line cleaning.
• Document maintenance work and safety procedures.
• Assist in minor fabrication and equipment installations; support cross-functional teams.
