• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Proven expertise in electrical troubleshooting up to 480V, motor controls, transformers, and AC/DC circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints, hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, and electrical ladder logic diagrams.
• Experience with CMMS.

Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic III serves as a subject matter expert responsible for ensuring maximum reliability and peak efficiency of production machinery. This position independently diagnoses and repairs highly complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime, ensure 100% safety compliance, and maintain product quality. This role also provides mentorship to other mechanics and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose complex machinery failures utilizing specialized precision test equipment (multimeters, meggers) to quickly restore production, strictly adhering to Lock Out Tag Out and safety regulations.
• Expertly troubleshoot and repair servo drives, motors, VFDs, Encoders, and PLC-controlled automation systems.
• Proactively manage and execute strategic PM schedules, focusing on root cause analysis to reduce breakdown frequency.
• Utilize shop tools to fabricate custom parts or components required for machinery repairs.
• Provide technical guidance and training to lower-level mechanics, acting as a resource for the maintenance team.
• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials, heavy machinery, or parts between the storage cage and production floor.

Education/Experience Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Technical degree/diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or Journeyman card preferred.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Proven expertise in electrical troubleshooting up to 480V, motor controls, control transformers, and AC/DC circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints, hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics/ladder logic diagrams.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
