Maintenance Mechanic III

Location

Pall Aerospace facility, New Port Richey, FL

Working Hours

Monday thru Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (flexible scheduling may be required; overtime is routine).

Export and Security Requirements

All employees must have U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization. The position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, repair, wire, and maintain a variety of electrical and electronic equipment and controls related to production and building equipment, including but not limited to motors, pumps, relays, circuit breakers, electronic machine controls and circuits, computers, printers, and other equipment.
• Set up and repair automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
• Install, modify, move, troubleshoot, repair and dismantle machinery and equipment according to requisition established documentation (e.g., SOPs), layout plans, blueprints or other drawings.
• Fabricate complex parts to blueprint and working instructions using various hand and power tools.
• Work from wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and records as needed, including completing all necessary paperwork such as scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data.
• Train co-workers and support continuous cross-training improvements.

Essential Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED) and several years of experience working electronics and machine maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Computer proficient in Word, Excel, Lotus Notes or Outlook, and searching the internet for maintenance-related solutions.
• Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: Continuous mental and visual attention is required. Be able to work with machinery with heights (i.e., work platforms). Required lifting weight: Minimum of 35 lbs. Lifting frequency: Daily. Required to stand for long time periods (for a minimum of 8 hours or more). Frequently twist and bend. Be able to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals.

Preferred Experience

• Five (5)+ years of experience or a trade school degree in electronics or previous electrical repair and wiring experience.
