Job summary

Nulaid Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support our Ripon, WI plant. The role requires flexibility to work any shift, overtime with short notice, and weekends, with entry pay around the stated rate.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting refrigeration and electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, welding, and plant utilities. The candidate should be able to read diagrams, perform PMs, and contribute to plant efficiency.

Qualifications

• Refrigeration knowledge and NH3 safety.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment up to 480V/220V/120V/24V.
• Troubleshoot pneumatics and air compressors.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing, processing, and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulics including pumps and controls.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Boilers, steam systems, water softeners pumps, and general plant utilities.
• Plant process systems (HTST, CIP, sterilization).
• PLC process control knowledge.
• Troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment.
• Have hand tools and test equipment to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance calls and troubleshoot/repair production and plant equipment to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair electric control circuits from 120V to 24V; read electrical diagrams.
• Replace electrical components such as magnetic starters and wiring.
• Service, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic system components.
• Weld and fabricate as needed.
• Layout/install plant/process utility plumbing (air lines, sanitizers, lines).
• Perform PM procedures as assigned.
• Follow work instructions and work independently on all equipment and systems.
• Recommend improvements for operation and plant efficiency.

There is one immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic. Individual applying must be able to work any shift, overtime with short or no notice and weekends.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Refrigeration knowledge and experience with compressors, condensers, refrigeration accessories and controls, working knowledge of NH3, NH3 Safety.
2. Electrical knowledge to include efficient troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment to include 480V, 220V, 120V and 24V.
3. Possess working knowledge and ability to efficiently troubleshoot pneumatics, air compressors and components.
4. Possess ability to efficiently troubleshoot and repair manufacturing, processing and packaging equipment.
5. Possess working knowledge and ability to efficiently troubleshoot hydraulics including pumps, accessories and controls.
6. Possess ability to proficiently perform various types of welding and minor fabrication experience.
7. Possess working knowledge, and ability to efficiently troubleshoot and repair boilers, steam systems, water softeners pumps, and general plant utilities.
8. Working knowledge of all plant process systems, Breaking Equip., HTST, CIP, sterilization, etc.
9. Some working knowledge of PLC process control system.
10. Working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment.
11. Possess sufficient hand tools and test equipment with ability to use them to properly perform job functions as required.

JOB DUTIES

1. Respond to maintenance calls, efficiently troubleshoot and repair all production and plant equipment as needed in a timely manner to minimize downtime..
2. Trouble shoot and repair electric control circuits from 120V to 24V, read and follow electrical diagrams as needed.
3. Change out all electrical components such as magnetic starters, contacts, wiring, and other associated components as required.
4. Service, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic system components.
5. Welding and fabricate as needed.
6. Layout and install plant and process utility plumbing such as air supply piping, sanitizer, foamer lines, and product lines, etc.
7. Perform PM procedures as assigned in a timely manner.
8. Must be able to follow work instructions, work independently, effectively and efficiently on all plant equipment and systems.
9. Make recommendations for improvements in operation and/or plant efficiency.

Rates of Pay

Entry rate - $28.96 - $30.26 depending on experience.
