Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a large-scale distribution center focused on automation and growth. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, sorters, and automated equipment, ensuring safety and high uptime in a fast-paced warehouse.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, mentoring teammates, and maintaining clean, compliant facilities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Experience troubleshooting motors, conveyors, sensors, and automated equipment.
  • Foundational knowledge of electrical systems and controls; able to work with electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions promptly using blueprints, schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on conveyors and powered industrial equipment.
  • Work on electrical systems including VFDs and PLCs and perform electrical troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a clean, safe facility and document work; mentor teammates.

Your Role:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on critical distribution center equipment and automated conveyor systems. You will play a vital role in keeping our facility operational and efficient by performing repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and train team members, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of safety and technical performance.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience:Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair motors, conveyor systems (belts, photo eyes, sensors), and associated automated equipment.
  • Technical Skills:Foundational knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting; comfort working with various electrical controls and automated systems.
  • Safety Mindset:A commitment to safety and efficiency in a large-scale warehouse environment.
  • Physical Requirements:Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks like bending, stooping, and climbing.

salary: $62,000 - $70,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions promptly using blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and hands-on diagnostic tools.
  • System Maintenance: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on sorters, conveyors, labelers, and powered industrial equipment.
  • Technical Expertise: Work on electrical systems, including VFDs and PLCs, and utilize your knowledge of electrical troubleshooting.
  • Facility Upkeep: Complete routine building repairs and maintain a clean, organized, and fully functional facility.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead major repairs and perform root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Collaboration: Mentor and train team members on repairs, processes, and procedures.
