Job summary

UFP Site Built is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I to perform preventive maintenance on machinery and assist with repairs across various equipment and tools. The role supports the Maintenance Department in building and machine repairs, following diagrams and manufacturer specs.

Responsibilities include ordering parts, keeping maintenance records, and ensuring safety rules. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least 1 year of maintenance repair experience. 18+ age requirement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 1 year of experience in machine repair in maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and welding.
• Knowledge of safety rules, laws, and regulations; hazardous waste handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and buildings.
• Assist in repair of woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts.
• Order supplies and parts as required.
• Maintain records of repair and maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and participate in safety programs.
