Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, balers, and powered industrial equipment at our Houston facility. You will run regular inspections and adjust components to prevent downtime.

The role requires safety-focused problem solving, ability to read manuals, and work a Monday-Thursday 3pm-1am schedule with 40 hours weekly; starting pay is based on experience, with benefits included.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on conveyors and balers and powered industrial equipment.
• Conduct regular system inspections and checks (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Carry out lubrication and smaller service tasks and repairs.
• Address unplanned electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose electrical/mechanical issues and resolve them.
• Control and adjust light sensors and switches.
• Exchange wear parts and set up rolling stock and dock equipment.
• Exchange wear parts and set up electrical wear parts with rolling stock and dock equipment.
• Complete field tasks as directed by management.

Position Summary

Starting Pay: Based on experience

Scheduled - Monday-Thursday Hours - 3pm-1am

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on conveyors and balers and powered industrial equipment - Regular (daily/ weekly / monthly) system inspections and checks - Smaller adjustments and service tasks (lubrication) - Unplanned electrical, mechanical maintenance and repairs - Electrical, Mechanical diagnosis and resolution - Control and adjustment of light sensors and switches - Exchange and set up of mechanical wear and tear parts with rolling stock and dock equipment - Exchange and set up of electrical wear and tear parts with rolling stock and dock equipment - Various field-related tasks as directed by Management

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and count accurately.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule or overtime as required, to include shift rotation.
• Ability to work safely with and around 24 Volt, 110 Volts and 480 Volt electrical systems.
• Ability to work safely with and around operating mechanical systems.
• Read, comprehend and interpret technical reference manuals, wiring diagrams
• Ability to work within a team atmosphere.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems.
• Ability to be trained in Lock-out Tag-out procedures as an “Authorized” user.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $18.50 - $38.82

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
