Job summary

Lacerta Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on plant machinery to keep production running smoothly. You will document repairs, follow safety and SQF/ISO standards, and assist in training other staff on maintenance best practices.

The role requires basic electrical work, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple maintenance projects while maintaining a clean, safe workspace on the production floor.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment throughout the plant and facilities. This position ensures all equipment operates efficiently and safely to support production goals. The Maintenance Mechanic also maintains tools, documents repair activities, and follows all maintenance and safety standards in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on production equipment.


• Perform basic electrical, wiring, and motor repair as needed.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Overall mechanical knowledge of machinery and how to repair


• Overall knowledge of electrical installation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:

• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, climbing, and kneeling.


• Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 lbs.


• Manual dexterity and visual acuity to work with small parts and tools.


• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical components, and occasional hot or cold temperatures.


• Work performed primarily on the production floor and maintenance areas.


• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection.


• May be required to work weekends, evenings, or on-call shifts for maintenance emergencies.
