Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic-BShift to support our West Facility. The role focuses on maintaining machines and equipment and contributing to plant reliability.

You will troubleshoot, repair, build, dismantle and install various shop machines, operate basic tools, and apply shop math and precision measurement in daily tasks. Shift work includes B Shift with the potential for growth as the facility expands.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of shop math and possess above average skill in use of precision measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Maintains machines, equipment and parts; troubleshoot, repair, build, dismantle and erect various machines.
• Operates shop machines such as lathes, mills, drill presses and saws as required.
• Works on electrical equipment, steam, gas, water lines, carpentry, welding and uses measuring devices to perform duties.
• Reads sketches and drawings; applies shop math and precision measurement skills; performs housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
