Job summary

South Jersey Bakery LLC, headquartered in Paulsboro, NJ, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on production lines and the plant’s equipment. You will complete installation tasks and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and product safety standards.

You will troubleshoot equipment, complete work orders, and support building and grounds maintenance as needed.

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

Location: West Deptford, NJ, 08066

Position Summary

South Jersey Bakery LLC, headquartered in Paulsboro NJ, is a wholesale provider of a wide range of bakery products. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will help complete all maintenance on the production lines. You Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and installation tasks on the physical plant, equipment, and machinery, according to standards. The position requires a demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality, and quality.

Essential Functions

• Supports all aspects of the maintenance department as needed, including general building and grounds maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair any equipment failures in a timely and orderly manner.
• Completes plant work orders, accurately and on time.
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Performs emergency equipment repairs, independently and as a team.
• Performs preventive maintenance on plant equipment and completes appropriate documentation.

Physical Demands and Work Environment Requirements

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to read, write and understand policies, guidelines, specifications and safety standards
• Ability to work in elevated areas
• Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
• Basic math skills
• Previous bakery experience a plus
• Electrical experience with 110/220/480 a plus.
• Welding experience with Tig/Mig/Arc a plus
