Job summary

Arcosa, Inc. Tulsa plant is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, diagnose issues from schematics, and install/repair electrical systems. You will troubleshoot to keep lines running and read blueprints to identify required repairs.

You will work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC-controlled systems, maintaining records and following strict safety procedures. Some overtime and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment and tools, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Reads blueprints and schematics; uses PLCs and programming software to diagnose issues.
• Performs complex repairs on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems up to 480V and 3-phase.
• Maintains accurate maintenance records and follows safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems in production equipment.
• Determines causes of operating problems, consults schematics, and orders parts.
• Installs and repairs electrical systems and components; tests, troubleshoots and adjusts equipment.
• Reads blueprints, performs PMs, and maintains facilities equipment (lights, fans) as needed.
• Ensures safety rules are followed, including Lockout/Tagout practices and PPE use.

Job description

• Performs preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs to production and mechanical equipment, machinery and components
• Determines causes of operating problems, consults schematics and orders replacement parts.
• Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical or electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, follows electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specification
• Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies production electronic components, parts, switch panels etc.
• May test new equipment and troubleshoot operation and make minor adjustments to equipment
• Experience working with PLC's and using programming software is required
• Maintains and completes all required records
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives

What you'll need:

• Performs complex repairs on production equipment and tools motors and mechanical components including basic pneumatics and hydraulics
• Must have experience working with Hydraulics, Electrical, and Pneumatics all tied into PLC operating system.
• Performs basic troubleshooting on electrical equipment / 3 Phase / equipment up to 480v.
• Reads blueprints and schematics
• Complete PM maintenance and repairs on production equipment (Band Saw, Iron Worker, Burn Table, Welding Machines & Plasma Torches, Overhead Crane & Forklifts)
• Maintain the facilities (Lights & Fans)
• May be able to tack weld (Stik or MIG) for minor repairs
• Follow all safety rules and practices including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout and PPE assessment
• Follows all safety rules and practices
• Performs other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

• Hourly Full-Time position
• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
