Job summary

Community Wellness Partners seeks a dependable Maintenance Technician to support daily operations at NEW HARTFORD, NY. You will assist with building upkeep, repairs, and safety compliance in residential units and common areas.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, ability to work with plumbing, HVAC and electrical tasks, and a willingness to participate in an on-call schedule including snow removal during winter storms. Valid NY driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Skilled maintenance experience and prior maintenance background.
• Experience working with seniors is a plus but not required.
• Must possess valid New York state driver's license.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with and performs hands on maintenance for daily operations. Assist with upkeep and maintenance of all building areas.
• Works on and assists in repair and maintenance tasks related to residential units, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.
• Follow safety and maintenance standards and procedures.
• Assist with installation of new equipment, and repairs to existing equipment in residential and common areas.
• Assist with projects and help to resolve problems, handle complaints and provide customer service to residents.
• Ability to interact effectively and courteously with residents, staff and management team to meet the objectives of the maintenance department.
• Rotating on-call schedule/on-call during weather related emergencies. Winter storms require all maintenance workers to assist with snow removal and winter related tasks.
• Will perform other duties as assigned.

Frequent with residents, staff, visitors and vendors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Stands, walks, bends most of the day. Pushes, lifts and carries medium to heavy weights. Works in reaching and strained positions from time to time. Climbs ladders.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Is exposed to dirt, dust, grease, noise, temperature extremes, odors from garbage, trash and sewer. Occasionally and infrequently required to work odd hours in case of emergency.

HAZARDS:

Exposed to falls, cuts, strains, bruises, abrasions, electrical shock, possible infections.

SAFETY:

Accountable for implementing assigned responsibilities and activities to attain safety goals and objectives by complying with applicable rules and regulations and performing tasks and supervising others in performing tasks in a safe manner.

QUALIFICATIONS
