Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking an Entry-level technician to provide mechanical and electrical support in a dairy processing and manufacturing plant. You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting to keep equipment running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficient with Allen-Bradley systems and electrical circuits.
• Strong technical skills and ability to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct walkthroughs of equipment in operation and shutdowns and document PM actions.
• Perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs on equipment as required.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning and out-of-service equipment.
• Provide mechanical support to plant Operators in repair tasks.
• Monitor and maintain plant systems to ensure proper operation.
• Be available to work shifts as needed.

Overview

Entry-level technician to provide mechanical and electrical support of all components, systems, and subsystems to ensure proper operations within a dairy processing and manufacturing plant. Shall make all repairs, replacements, and adjustments to all installed equipment as well as maintain structural integrity of the facility, as directed.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct a thorough walkthrough and assessment of all equipment, in operation and shut down, and all ongoing preventive maintenance actions in progress.
• Perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs on equipment, as required.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment, as required.
• Conduct troubleshooting on all malfunctioning and/or out-of-service equipment.
• Provide mechanical assistance to various plant Operators in the troubleshooting and repair of equipment, as needed.
• Monitor and maintain plant systems and subsystems, as required, to operate various equipment.
• Be available to work shift to fulfill personnel slotting requirements, as directed.

Desired Qualifications

• Some Technical Colleges or Trade School in an Engineering Discipline.
• Strong Mechanical and Electrical aptitude.
• General knowledge of plant equipment to include boiler operations, types of heat exchangers, material control, storage, and handling, refrigeration, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, air compressor operations, electrical distribution, electrical and electronic controls, welding operations.
• Knowledge and understanding of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook programs.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles.

Required Qualifications

• 5 plus years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in working with Allen-Bradley
• Understanding of circuits
• Proficient in electrical and electronic circuits, sensors, and encoders
• Strong technical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and willingness to work overtime as required.
