Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our distribution center operations in New Haven, CT. You will maintain and repair facility systems, follow PM schedules, and ensure safety standards are met.

The role involves a Tue–Fri night shift (5:30p–3:30a) with a pay range of $29.55–$42.90 per hour, plus a $1/hr shift differential. Ongoing safety training and strong teamwork are expected as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or technical certificate is required.
• 2 year vocational/technical degree in mechanical or electrical field preferred.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software (e.g., Crown PM, Gage) and equipment.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety requirements including LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility and conveyance systems; follow PM standards and document work in asset management system.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and timely.
• Take on other duties to support the DC and its operational needs.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

Targeted Pay Range

$29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
