Job summary

Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic I for the 3rd shift in Miami. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining utility-side machinery and electrical equipment, with duties including PMs, wiring control circuits, and fabricating piping.

The position requires 1 year of maintenance experience in manufacturing, 3ph (480V) troubleshooting, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • 1 year maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1 year of experience troubleshooting 3 phase (480V) circuits, motor starters and controls and electronic circuit boards.
  • Lift, push, and pull 50 pounds repeatedly, walking and standing for long period of time.

Responsibilities

  • Observes equipment to ensure it operates to OEM standards or production satisfaction.
  • Analyzes mechanical, pneumatic, electrical problems and makes repairs through adjustments, part replacements, or fabrication.
  • Answers maintenance calls in a timely fashion and assists others in troubleshooting.
  • Performs routine PMs, repairs, rebuilds and modifications on all equipment assigned.
  • Wire moderately complex control circuits.
  • Performs electronic component replacement, substitution, setup and calibration.
  • Fabricates, repairs, and installs piping including hot/cold water, steam, process and condensate.
  • Welds various types of metals.
  • Machines metals, plastics, and composites.
  • Fabricates or replicates minor parts for repairs or replacements.
  • Completes size changeovers and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
  • Identifies problems and completes repairs with minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshoots 3ph 480V motors and VFDs.
  • Completes Work Orders and related paperwork.
  • Provides coverage to meet production schedules and equipment needs.
  • Maintains high safety and quality standards and follows GMPs.

Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic I

The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical / electrical equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production machines, boilers, pumps, liquid fillers, packaging equipment, material handling equipment, bulk delivery equipment, and blending/mixing systems. This position will primarily focus on the utilities side of maintenance.

Position Responsibilities

  • Observes equipment to make sure it is operating to OEM standard or production satisfaction.

  • Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, electrical problems and make repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication.

  • Answers maintenance calls in a timely fashion and assists others in troubleshooting.

  • Performs routine PM’s, repairs, rebuilds and modifications on all equipment assigned

  • Wire moderately complex control circuits.

  • Performs electronic component replacement, substitution, set-up and calibration.

  • Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and all types of piping including hot/cold water, steam, process and condensate, utilizing formulas for all phases.

  • Weld various types of metals.

  • Machine most metals, plastics, and composites.

  • Fabricate or replicate minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment.

  • Complete size changeovers, make adjustments, and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.

  • Identify problems and completes repairs, with minimal downtime or supervision.

  • Troubleshoot 3ph 480V motors and VFDs.

  • Completes any necessary paperwork associated with repairs or calibration.

  • Completes Work Orders that are assigned to them or their department.

  • Provides coverage and or assistance as needed throughout facility to meet production schedules and or equipment needs.

  • Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).

  • Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place.

  • Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management

Total Rewards:
  • Compensation: Pay starting at $31.52 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $33.21 per hour in the quarter after their 6 month anniversary.
