Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply SH&E standards and safety observations.
  • Propose and implement maintenance improvements.
  • Record non-conformances and report to maintenance lead.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis for quality.
  • Maximize equipment availability through TPM.
  • Perform planned and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and PLC equipment.
  • Complete urgent breakdown repairs and safe equipment repairs.
  • Carry out duties as assigned.

As a Maintenance Mechanic,you’llberesponsible forapplying Ecolab standards,andensuring safe, sustainable, and efficientoperations tomaintainplant equipment and infrastructure.You willparticipatein essential TPM tasks, including safety and environmental procedures, progressive quality initiatives, autonomous maintenance, focused improvement, preventive maintenance, and 5S practices.

HowYou’llMake an Impact:
  • Understand and comply withSH&E standards, actively promote safe and responsible behavior, and positively challenge any unsafe practices by completing monthly safety observations

  • Proactively propose and implement improvements to existing work practices andquality of products

  • Look for and record non-conformances on equipment and report to Maintenance Team Leader

  • Contribute to root cause analysis and develop solutions to help with quality management

  • Monitor effectiveness of maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability

  • Implement continuous improvement activities via problem solving or tagging activities, contribute fully to TPM improvement teams, and promote a culture of continuous improvement

  • Follow standard maintenance procedures, proposing and implementing improvements, and ensuringtimelycompletion of all maintenance tasks. These tasks may consist of electrical, welding, plumbing, troubleshooting on filler equipment, tank and pipes, partreplacementsas well as PLC programming.

  • Complete all planned and preventative maintenance tasks on-time includingtimelyescalation of potential issues to engineering team

  • Propose new preventative maintenance tasks or updates for the existing preventative maintenance tasks

  • Carry out safe and effective equipment repairs, including urgent breakdown repairs

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position Details:
  • Plant Location: Fresno, TX

  • Work Week & Shift: Monday through Friday from 4:00 to 5:00am

  • Compensation: $30-35.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:
  • HighSchoolDiploma,GEDor equivalent

  • 4years of experience working in an industrial maintenance environment

  • 1 year of experience with electronic and PLC based applications in an industrial environment

  • 1 year of experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environment

  • No immigration sponsorship available for this role

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years of mechanical experience in a chemical plant

  • 4 years of industrial experience

  • 1 year of experience with tools, procedures and methodsutilizedin an industrial maintenance environment.

  • Experience working with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves, and rigging

  • Formal vocational training in an industrial engineering discipline

  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills

  • Experience working in a TPM environment

  • Read and follow instructions

  • Track safety, quality, and productivity data

  • Experience working in a LeanManufacturing environment

Physical Requirements of Position:
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds chest high

  • Kneeling, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reachingabove and below waist level

  • Working in a chemical processing plantwith variabletemperatures,odors,noise levels, elevatedheights,and/orconfined spaces

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $28.64 - $42.96. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
