Job summary

Fortive Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support four Everett sites, ensuring safe, reliable facility systems. You will maintain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical networks, read blueprints, and use CMMS to manage work orders, coordinating with manufacturing and process engineering teams.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment installations, relocations, and light construction tasks, with collaboration across teams using hoists, forklifts, and rigging equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Experience using CMMS to manage work orders.
• Experience with rigging and moving equipment (hoists, dollies, forklifts).

Job description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll support the operation and upkeep of building systems across our four Everett sites. Your work will ensure a safe, comfortable, and efficient facility for all employees. In this role, you will:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including VAV boxes, humidifiers, exhaust fans, scrubbers, portable chillers, boilers, air compressors, and rooftop units.

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems including potable water, industrial water, DI water, compressed air, process piping, and sanitary waste systems.

• Troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including 120V, 208V, and 480V three-phase power, lighting, electrical distribution equipment, fire alarm systems, and basic low-voltage systems.

• Maintain and service facility process systems including chilled water loops, compressed air systems, and specialty gas distribution systems.

• Collaborate with manufacturing and process engineering teams to support equipment installations, relocations, and facility modifications using hoists, dollies, rollers, forklifts, and other rigging equipment.

• Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive, document, and complete assigned work orders.

• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, piping diagrams, and construction drawings.

• Perform preventive maintenance and identify corrective repairs to ensure reliable operation of building infrastructure and utility systems.

• Perform general building maintenance and light construction tasks as needed.
