Job summary

Wonderful Citrus LLC in Delano, CA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventative and predictive maintenance, repairs, and improvements on industrial equipment in an automated food-processing facility. Focus on safety, food quality, and machine efficiency.

You will install wiring for new machines, diagnose equipment, replace faulty components, and coordinate with the maintenance team. This role requires a technical background and the ability to work a rotating 4x10 schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Technical degree and 3+ years of related experience in production/manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business items.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install wiring and conduit for new machines, conveyors, and robots.
• Connect power wires and cables between machines.
• Diagnose and replace faulty components and wiring.
• Test machinery and discuss issues with maintenance team.
• Plan wiring layout and install electrical apparatus.
• Identify and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Work off shifts on a rotating 4x10 schedule.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Overview:

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform preventative/predictive maintenance, repairs and improvements on industrial equipment in an automated food processing facility while keeping a high regard for employee safety, food quality and machine efficiency.

Here's what you'll do:

• Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
• Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
• Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction.
• Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
• Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
• Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Identifies problems and isolates faulty components with rapid understanding of the distribution of Input and Output as well as the location of field devices driven by such.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must be open to work off shifts and a rotating 4x10 schedule

Qualifications

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Technical degree and three years or more of related experience and/or training in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business items
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Bilingual preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtract, multiply, dividing.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to comprehend basic oral and written communication.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay Range: $29.87 - $33.99 per hour. Final Compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
