Wilen Group in Deerfield Beach, FL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to keep our printing production machinery running safely and efficiently. You will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment per manufacturer specs and industry regs.

The role requires 5–7 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, a High School diploma, CAD proficiency, and the ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance preferred.
  • 5–7 years of experience as an industrial mechanic or maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with CAD.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and procedures for industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly inspect machinery and equipment to identify potential issues or malfunctions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and cleaning machinery to prevent breakdowns.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with machinery and equipment.
  • Install new machinery and equipment according to blueprints and manufacturer instructions.
  • Assemble components and parts to construct or modify equipment as needed.
  • Ensure all machinery meets safety standards and regulations.
  • Identify and address safety hazards in the workplace.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
  • Coordinate with production personnel to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic that would help us ensure all machinery and equipment used in our printing manufacturing operate efficiently and safely. You will be tasked with inspection, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment safely, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry regulations.


RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

All lawful directives of your supervisor or a member of Company management.



  • Regularly inspect machinery and equipment to identify any potential issues or malfunctions

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and cleaning machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with machinery and equipment

  • Install new machinery and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions

  • Assemble components and parts to construct new machinery or modify existing equipment as needed

  • Ensure that all machinery and equipment meet safety standards and regulations

  • Identify and address safety hazards in the workplace, such as faulty equipment or inadequate guarding

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history

  • Document inspections, maintenance tasks, and repairs performed on each piece of equipment

  • Coordinate with production personnel and other maintenance team members to schedule maintenance activities and minimize downtime


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred

  • 5-7 years of experience as an industrial mechanic or maintenance technician in a manufacturing industrial environment

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

  • Proficiency with CAD

  • Familiarity with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment

  • Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to industrial machinery and equipment

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed
