Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Dallas, TX seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to service mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. The role combines independent work with teamwork to keep facilities running safely and efficiently.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs, install fixtures, maintain HVAC, and update work orders while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years hands-on experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds regularly.
  • Capability to work safely from heights and climb ladders up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to climb ladders with a 300-pound weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems and equipment.
  • Conduct facility inspections and due diligence assessments, documenting conditions that may impact client operations or occupancy.
  • Complete general interior maintenance tasks including hanging fixtures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems, and adjusting doors.
  • Maintain HVAC systems by cleaning coils, changing filters and belts, and ensuring optimal equipment performance.
  • Replace lighting fixtures and ballasts throughout assigned facilities.
  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and materials as needed to support building operations.
  • Update work order status in real-time using ticketing systems and escalate issues to customers and management promptly.
  • Complete hazard assessments and comply with all safety procedures while maintaining clean, organized work areas.
  • Attend scheduled work meetings and required safety trainings to stay current on protocols and best practices.
