Job summary

Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine and specialized maintenance of our facility and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies while maintaining safe, cost-effective operations. The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years of maintenance experience, and trades skills in welding, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or boilers.

Night shifts, strong documentation, and teamwork are essential for keeping our hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Specialized course work beyond high school preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance work experience required.
• Trade skills in welding, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, instrumentation, boilers preferred.
• Ability to interpret and understand maintenance manuals written in English.
• Boiler operator license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized maintenance of facility and equipment under minimal supervision, maintain compliance to external regulations and internal maintenance policies.
• Ensure safe and cost-effective operation of the facility and equipment, and adhere to government regulations and G&K policies.
• Participate in meetings, prepare reports and maintain thorough records and files for communication and documentation.
• Utilize strong communication skills in daily operations.
• Accurately maintain records and files.
• Perform predefined preventive maintenance procedures at specific time intervals to minimize downtime and maintenance cost.
• Provide safe and efficient operations at predefined intervals to minimize downtime and maintenance cost.
• Perform downtime repair work to maintain proper production levels as required.
• Utilize Equipment Suppliers & Manuals, Regional & Corporate Engineering, and other G&K resources to ensure timely repairs.
• Ensure proper and timely repairs are made.
• Perform predefined equipment or facility work to maintain equipment and facility at optimum level for production as determined by prioritization based on Project Logs and Regional Engineer, additional G&K.

Job Description

• Utilize strong communication skills

• Perform predefined preventive maintenance procedures at specific time intervals to minimize downtime and maintenance cost
