Nutrien Ag Solutions, a division of Nutrien, seeks an industrial maintenance technician at our Cutler, CA site to install, repair and maintain production equipment across a broad range of systems. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support PLC-driven automated processes to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires 2+ years in processing plant environments, an associate degree or equivalent, and forklift experience.

Qualificações

• High school diploma/GED
• Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance is a plus
• 2+ years of experience in operating processing plant environment such as food processing, chemical processing or pharmaceutical or training equivalent required
• 2+ years of forklift experience preferred
• 2+ years of experience/training in making repairs on typical chemical processing equipment

Responsabilidades

• Install and maintain production machines and plant facilities
• Repair, troubleshoot or maintain pumping systems, compressors, generators, reactors, heat exchangers, filters and agitators
• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment (valves, motors, pumps, gear boxes)
• Electrical installation and repair of switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, VFDs and motor starters
• Inspect parts for defects and replace as needed
• Repair and fabricate piping systems using MIG, ARC and TIG welding
• Assist with PLC controlled automated system installation and troubleshooting
• Provide emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance during machine service
• Perform simple machinist duties and general mechanical tasks
• Diagnose problems and test/adjust equipment
• Perform plumbing and carpentry tasks
• Report faulty operations or unusual conditions to supervision
• Undertake building and grounds maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, lighting

What You'll Do

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
• Perform repair, troubleshooting or general maintenance work of various types of pumping systems, compressors, generators, reactors, heat exchangers, filters and agitators in operation
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on various types of production equipment, including but not limited to valves, electric motors, pumps, gear boxes and vehicles, machines and plant facilities
• Perform electrical installation and repair of switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, VFD’s, motor starters and electric motors
• Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear; replace defective parts and reassembles equipment
• Perform repairs and fabrication of piping systems utilizing MIG, ARC, and TIG welding techniques
• Assist with the installation and troubleshooting of PLC controlled automated systems including actuated valves, pumps, flow meters, scales and associated interlocks and safety systems
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
• Perform building and grounds maintenance including lighting, HVAC, masonry, plumbing and minor electrical

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role, in Cutler, CA location, is between $18.00 - $25.00. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
