Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Distribution Center. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing facility equipment, including conveyors and PLC-controlled systems.

Shift 2B runs Tuesday to Friday from 5:30 PM to 3:30 AM with a base rate of $29.55/hour plus a $1/hour shift differential. Ideal candidates have an Associate degree or two-year technical certificate in mechanical or electrical fields, plus 3–5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2-year technical certificate in mechanical/electrical discipline; 3-5 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience reading electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics; familiarity with DC-specific software packages.
• Welding, cutting; strong safety awareness; able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and LOTO procedures.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems.
• Document PM activities and report spare parts usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Train junior technicians and collaborate with external vendors on projects.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment. Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained. Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets. Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor. Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
