Job summary

Kelly Services in Brockton, MA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to keep food production lines running efficiently. You will troubleshoot high-speed packaging equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a USDA-regulated environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of maintenance in food/manufacturing, strong 3-phase electrical skills, and experience reading blueprints. A HS diploma or GED is required; technical training is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in food, beverage, or manufacturing (USDA/FDA a plus).
• Strong skills in 3-phase electrical systems, wiring, motors, and control panels.
• Experience using hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Team player who communicates clearly and responds quickly to issues.
• High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred).

Responsibilities

• Keep production and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Handle setup, changeovers, and quick fixes for conveyors, baggers, scales, and barcode systems.
• Read electrical schematics and perform basic PLC/VFD troubleshooting.
• Stay ahead of issues with preventive maintenance and regular inspections.
• Jump into action when equipment breaks down to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant workspace meeting USDA standards.

Pay: $32-$34/hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 1:00pm - 11:00pm

What You’ll Do
