Maintenance Mechanic

The position of Mechanic is responsible for overseeing the performance of the production line, executing runtime preventive maintenance (PM) and basic downtime PMs, performing changeovers on basic equipment, troubleshooting minor stops, and following maintenance guidelines. The role also involves ensuring work safety, quality, and efficiency goals are met with minimal downtime.

Job Duties:

1. Assist in ensuring the production line runs safely, meeting high-quality and productivity goals.
2. Anticipate, prepare for, and carry out changeovers safely, accurately, and promptly.
3. Perform systematic maintenance on the production line daily, weekly, and monthly.
4. Serve as the Job Trainer in all changeover areas of production.
5. Identify and communicate underlying problems, determining root causes.
6. Continuously monitor equipment, identify signs of performance loss, and execute proactive repairs and maintenance as planned.
7. Participate in cost-saving initiatives, efficiency improvements, and maintenance projects, helping implement approved solutions.
8. Maintain a clean workplace following 5S methodology and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
9. Adjust machine parameters to match batch sheets.
10. Read manuals and diagrams to determine work procedures.
11. Clean machines and conveyors to ensure smooth, issue-free operation.
12. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
13. Operate tools such as drill presses and grinders to fabricate parts during maintenance overhauls.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of maintenance mechanic experience.
• Good mechanical ability.
• Thorough troubleshooting skills.
• High attention to detail.

Compensation: $31.00 - $35.00/hr DOE

Long-term position, 1st shift (6am-4pm, Monday-Thursday, with OT on Fridays), 6am-2pm.
