Job summary

Wonderful Citrus is seeking a Maintenance Technician based in Delano, CA to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on automated food processing equipment. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems while ensuring safety, food quality, and equipment efficiency.

The role requires up to 10-hour shifts, physical demands, and willingness to work 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Technical degree and three years or more of related experience and/or training in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Stand and/or walk for up to 10-hour shift.
• Climb on a ladder or scaffolding to heights in excess of 10', balance, and work above the shoulders frequently.
• Bend/stoop, kneel, crouch, and squat frequently for extended periods of time.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work at heights.
• Tolerate required PPE such as steel toe shoes, work gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, dust masks, safety belts and safety shoes on a continuous basis.

Responsibilities

• Ensures self and coworkers are compliant with all safety rules and regulations (LOTO, fall protection, hot work, etc.).
• Perform uptime and downtime inspections, lubrications, and preventative maintenance
• Utilize predictive technologies such as thermal imaging, vibration analysis, and ultrasonics to understand machine condition and lifespan
• Troubleshoot and perform corrective work on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems within the facility
• Identify and execute improvements on equipment, documentation, work systems, and processes
• Collaborates with different levels of employees in various departments through face-to-face, telephone, email, and radio communications
• Provide training and development to operators and other maintenance personnel
• Research system and component specifications using manuals, schematics, parts breakdowns, online information, and vendor communication
• Dismantle and reassemble complex machinery efficiently and precisely
• Operate cutting, welding, and fabrication equipment to cut, form, and join materials
• Create/modify work orders in CMMS and document details of work performed
• Escalate technical, procedural, and personnel issues to lead or supervisor as necessary
• Work with moral integrity on a consistent basis
• Must be open to work 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM

THIS ROLE IS BASED IN DELANO, CA.

Individual will perform preventative/predictive maintenance, repairs and improvements on industrial equipment in an automated food processing facility while keeping a high regard for employee safety, food quality and machine efficiency.
