Job summary

International Paper in Arden Hills, MN seeks a Maintenance Mechanic for both 2nd and 3rd shifts. Pay ranges $33.93–$40.39 hourly, with sign-on bonuses and a pay increase for a B2 Boiler License or higher.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and a variety of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam system tasks. This role requires strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities, ability to read measurement devices, and effective communication.

Qualifications

Pay adder available for B2 Boiler License or higher

Sign-on Bonus :
$1000 after 30 days
$500 after 6 months
$500 after 1 year

The Job You Will Perform:

• Perform preventative maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring run out, calibrating dials, aligning components, and observing operations, vibrations, and noise level
• Complete emergency/break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations
• Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations
• Accurately use measurement and test equipment
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks
• Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork
• Work independently as well as part of a team
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

The Skills You Will Bring:

• Strong mechanical skills and aptitude
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Skilled in pneumatics, electrical, PLC, and hydraulics
• MN Special Engineer Boiler License or higher preferred
• Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices
• Well-rounded electrical, mechanical and machine shop skills and experience
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five years of maintenance experience with at least one year with the same employer
• Highly-qualified candidates would possess a technical degree or apprenticeship certification and maintenance experience in the corrugated industry or similar manufacturing environment
