Job summary

LHH is seeking a Maintenance Manager for a Direct Hire, permanent placement with a manufacturing client on the Southside of Indianapolis, IN. You will lead the development and implementation of a structured preventive maintenance program and guide a seasoned technical team to improve equipment uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience
• 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing
• Experience developing or improving a preventive maintenance program
• Ability to lead technicians, delegate work, and establish performance accountability
• Experience supporting equipment installations and capital projects
• Strong organizational, prioritization, project-management, and analytical skills
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance operations with clear priorities, expectations, and accountability
• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program across plant equipment and infrastructure
• Select and implement a CMMS for asset records, work orders, scheduling, and reporting
• Transition maintenance activities from reactive to proactive, planned maintenance
• Coach maintenance technicians and improve productivity and technical development
• Evaluate staffing, shift coverage, and future resource requirements
• Coordinate troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and reliability improvements with Engineering/Operations
• Support equipment installations, facility modifications, and capital projects
• Improve uptime, reliability, operating efficiency, quality, and asset performance
• Provide technical leadership for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems
• Establish maintenance metrics and monitor downtime, backlog, and completed work
• Manage outside contractors, service providers, and repair resources
• Ensure safe work practices and regulatory compliance
• Build a structured maintenance organization to support automation and growth
