Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee site maintenance activities at a steel manufacturing operation. This role ensures equipment reliability, safety, and operational excellence in a 24/7 environment.

Lead a high-performing maintenance team, troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues, and partner with Operations to prioritize repairs and preventive maintenance. Strong leadership and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in maintenance, including 5+ in a leadership role.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supervising maintenance personnel and contractors.
• Experience in a 24/7 operation preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Welding experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance operations to ensure safe, reliable equipment performance and minimal downtime.
• Supervise, schedule, and develop maintenance personnel and contractors in a continuous operations setting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues with a hands-on approach.
• Partner with Operations to prioritize repairs, preventive maintenance, and capital improvement projects.
• Establish and enforce maintenance procedures while ensuring compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.
• Manage inventory and procurement of parts, tools, and external vendor services to support timely repairs.
• Track maintenance activities, costs, and performance metrics using ERP systems and Microsoft Office to
