Lignetics, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager for the White Pigeon Plant. You will lead maintenance programs, ensure safety compliance, and drive reliability across mechanical and electrical systems.

The role requires coordinating with planners, managing the MVP CMMS modules, and guiding a team to reduce unplanned downtime while maintaining production performance.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent industry experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management systems (CMMS).
• Proficiency in English; ability to read manuals and report issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance program for the White Pigeon Plant.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies reducing unplanned downtime.
• Manage CMMS MVP modules and coordinate with planner for maintenance scheduling.
• Oversee rebuild/repair of pellet mills, conveyors, and gearboxes; mentor a maintenance team.
• Provide regular safety and maintenance reports to Plant Manager.

Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager Position Summary: Position has the responsibility to lead the maintenance program for the White Pigeon Plant.

Maintenance Manager Primary Objectives:

• The Maintenance Manager ensures safety of Lignetics and contract personnel through use of best safety practices (LOTO, confined space, electrical safety, Safety Concern Forms, incident investigation, etc.)
• Responsible for implementing a maintenance program based on a solid strategy, hiring retaining great people and providing their team members with the tools to significantly reduce the unplanned stops at the plant
• Responsible for the development of a team of craftsmen and a planner
• Manage the implementation and operation of the sites CMMS (MVP). Site is using the equipment module, the work order module, the stores module and the PM module
• Support the planner in the kitting and planning process for both planned and opportunity maintenance
• Maintain the stores systems and ensures parts are on hand as needed
• Develops capital appropriation requests by consulting, obtain bids, and work closely with outside contractors
• Manage and participate in the rebuild or repair of pellet mills, conveyors, screws, gearboxes, chains using hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Drive improvement in all maintenance systems by learning and supporting the Maintenance Excellence program
• Provide regular reports to Plant Manager regarding safety and maintenance concerns and projects
• Participate in employee performance management, hiring, disciplinary and annual/development review
• Stand in for the Plant Manager in their absence

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Technical degree or equivalent industry experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management systems
• PLC knowledge a plus
• Situational leadership
• Outstanding communication skills
• Time Based/Condition Based maintenance routine development
• Experience with Predictive maintenance tools such as Vibration Monitoring, Thermography and Oil sampling
• Ability to immediately understand and react to verbal safety commands, audio alarms, and written hazard alerts in English in a Manufacturing setting
• Proficient in English to accurately read, interpret, and execute equipment lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols and machine operation manuals.
• Sufficient English verbal skills to clearly and instantly report machine malfunctions, near-misses, or unsafe floor conditions to supervisors and team members.
• This role operates in the immediate vicinity of fast-moving, heavy automated equipment. Clear, real-time communication and strict adherence to English-language safety signage are mandatory for workplace safety.

• Solid Project planning & implementation skillset
• Experience developing/implementation/managing TPM programs preferred
• Office and ERP system experience is preferred (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Sage)

Working Conditions: The Maintenance Manager will spend time in the plant working on equipment and/or directing his team to complete projects or repairs. In addition, office time will be used for planning, scheduling, and reporting.

• Will need to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
• Will need to walk, climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch to inspect site conditions as needed
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including eye and ear protection, respiratory protective gear, fall prevention harnesses, and other gear that may be required for access to certain areas of a Lignetics facility
• Will be exposed to slippery surfaces, pinch points, trip and fall hazards, and overhead obstacles
• Must be able to work under a variety of weather conditions
